You don't have to be afraid to be around someone with epilepsy

Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological disorders affecting approximately one percent of the population with more than one crore patients in India. About 30% of patients with epilepsy are refractory to medications. The complications of epilepsy include pneumonia, memory loss, fractures, falls, death. Injury and death. Epilepsy kills more patients than breast cancer. Patients with epilepsy continue to experience social stigma. Many people with active epilepsy do not receive appropriate treatment for their condition, leading to a large treatment gap.

Epileptologists Beyond Borders is a global organization committed to improving epilepsy care around the world. As part of the project, we conduct free medical camps for patients with epilepsy, build epilepsy clinics and comprehensive epilepsy programs in hospitals across India, increase awareness about epilepsy through various media, provide low-cost reporting of EEG studies, and introduce advanced epilepsy care like epilepsy surgery and neurostimulation.
